Installation Instructions (English) This TransGo 6F50 SHIFT KIT Valve Body Repair Kit fits 2007 and newer Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles equipped with the 6F50 and 6F55 automatic transmission. These transmissions often come in with complaints of erratic shifts, TCC slip as well as various gear ratio codes. These complaints are often the result of wear at the solenoid pressure regulator valve bore. The purpose of the solenoid pressure regulator valve is to limit the pressure going to the solenoids. The solenoid pressure regulator valve spring is calibrated to prevent the solenoid feed pressure from exceeding a predetermined PSI, no matter what main line pressure is. This is necessary to prevent more fluid from being fed to the solenoids than they can effectively regulate and limit what max line pressure output is. If the pressure feeding the solenoids is too high or too low, their output will also be too high or too low. As a result, shift quality complaints and codes can occur along with low or high main line pressure. Other issues include TCC regulator valve bore wear, pressure regulator (PR) valve and bore wear. Features and benefits: The kit includes a new drop-in solenoid pressure regulator valve system. The furnished regulator valve and drop in bushing will restore the solenoid pressure regulator function using the existing worn bore. Similarly, a new design PR valve with longer lands restores the function and reliability of regulation system. Lastly, a new relief system replaces the OE isolator valve line-up. This new relief system prevents expensive hard part damage due to accidental pressure spikes.
